Antiretroviral Treatment in Lower Income Countries Collaboration
A collaboration of the International epidemiological Databases to Evaluate AIDS

Objectives

The purpose of this operational research collaboration is to identify what works, what doesn’t work, and why, with regards to the delivery and consumption of antiretroviral treatment in resource-constrained settings.

The specific objectives of the collaboration are:

  1. to define the effect on survival in people initiating HAART in resource-constrained settings.
  2. to compare that effect with survival in high income settings.
  3. to describe program-level factors that influence survival.
